Hong Kong

A rare mainland China junk tacks across the busy harbour with Central and the Peak in the background.

I love learning something new when I receive a postcard. I had no idea these ships were called "Junk" and these go all the way back to the 2nd century AD.

Wikipedia is your friend. Thanks Naranjo!

The Great Buddha - Hong Kong

"The world's largest seated outdoor bronze Buddha sits on a lotus throne, 268 steps above the Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island"

That is a huge Buddha! Eva says this is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Hong Kong, also one of the very few places that offers serenity and calmness.

She also mentioned you can go visit the Buddha by either climbing those stairs or taking a 20-minute cable car ride. I prefer the car ride, please.
